According to the IBPS Calendar 2024,

  • Prelims for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I are on August 3, 4, 10, 17, and 18, 2024.
  • The main exam for Office Assistants will be held on October 6, 2024.
  • The main exam for Officer Scale I will be held on September 29, 2024.
  • The Officer Scale II & III exam will be held on September 29, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB 2024

Eligibility Criteria Requirement

  1. Nationality / Citizenship: A Citizen of India or a person of Nepal 
  2. A Person of Bhutan 
  3. A Tibetan who came over to India before the date of January 1, 1962 
  4. A person who settled permanently in India

Age Limit For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)- The age limit should be between 18 and 28 years.

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager)- The age should be between 18 and Below 30 years.

For Officer Scale-II (Manager)- The age should be above 21 and below 32 years.

For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)- The age should be above 21 years – Below 40 years. 

Language Proficiency Candidates must be proficient in the local language.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed any degree.

Selection Process

The IBPS RRB Exam is usually conducted in two stages: the Preliminary and Main exams. Candidates need to clear both phases to be considered for the positions. Candidates who clear those two exams will be called for an interview. 

Exam Pattern for IBPS RRB 2024

Preliminary Exam

The Preliminary exam for IBPS RRB has 80 objective questions overall. Its main purpose is to assess basic knowledge and aptitude across various areas and serve as a screening test for the Main Exam. 

Main Exam

The main exam usually follows the 200-objective format. Questions can be asked in any of the following subjects: reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge.

Language Proficiency Test

After clearing the mains exam, candidates can attend an LPT test. The LPT test shows the candidate’s reading, writing, and speaking skills in the local language, which is essential for checking the candidate’s regional language.

IBPS RRB Salary

The salary for IBPS RRB officers ranges from Rs. 29,000 to Rs. 33,000 monthly. Office Assistants (Multipurpose) receive a salary between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 19,000 monthly. Additionally, selected candidates can get various allowances and benefits.
